This poha upma recipe is actually a variation of South Indian upma made with poha. It's a quick recipe to prepare and is healthy too.

Ingredients
1 string of curry leaves
2 glasses poha
2 tbsp groundnuts
1 tsp rasam powder
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tbsp chana dal
7/8 chillies
2 tbsp coriander
5 big onions, finely chopped
2 lemons
1 tbsp jaggery
1/2 tsp mustard
3 tbsp oil
Salt as per taste
Cucumber for garnish
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Recipe
Into a bowl, add 2 glasses of poha and wash it thoroughly.
Remove and excess water and keep the poha aside.
Add 1tsp rasam powder, 1 tbsp jaggery, salt, lemon juice and mix all the ingredients well.
Add some water and soak the poha for 2 hours.
Into a pan, add 3 tbsp oil, a pinch of asafoetida, 2 tbsp groundnuts, 1 tbsp chana dal, 1/2 tsp mustard, sliced chillies, curry leaves, chopped onions and saute all the ingredients well.
Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and saute.
Add soaked poha and mix everything well.
Garnish with some coriander and cucumber and enjoy this yummy and healthy breakfast.
